This unit functions as the direct IEC-standard successor to the legacy 150kva dry type transformer often found in older facilities. In retrofit scenarios, it solves the obsolescence issue by fitting into the same physical footprint while delivering an additional 6-7% ampacity buffer. VPI Technology: The "Open-Winding" Advantage
Unlike solid cast resin units, this is a specialized vpi type transformer (Vacuum Pressure Impregnated). The coils are vacuum-cycled with high-temperature polyester varnish rather than being potted in a mold. This process ensures the varnish penetrates deep into the winding interstitials, bonding the conductors into a rigid, vibration-resistant mass without adding thermal insulation bulk.
- Airflow Dynamics: Unlike Cast Resin units where heat must travel through a thick epoxy layer, the VPI design exposes the winding insulation directly to the air stream. Environmental Durability
