Delivering massive power (approx. 4500 Amps at 480V) in a single enclosure, this unit is engineered for high-density applications like cryptocurrency mining farms, hyperscale data centers, and large-scale solar collection grids.
While standard commercial padmounts are typically sized for strip malls or housing estates, this 3.75 MVA unit is a specialized industrial asset. It utilizes a reinforced "Unit Substation" tank design, providing the necessary internal clearance for higher voltage insulation and the physical volume required to house nearly 1,000 gallons of cooling fluid.

Thermal Management: Detachable Radiators
At 3750 kVA, heat rejection is the primary engineering challenge. A standard corrugated tank wall often lacks sufficient surface area to dissipate the core losses effectively.
- Radiator Banks: This unit is frequently equipped with Detachable Panel Radiators. These extend from the tank side to maximize airflow.
- Logistics Logic: To comply with road transport width limits, these radiators can be unbolted and shipped separately. Upon arrival, they are re-attached, and the valves are opened, allowing the unit to operate at full load with a standard 65°C temperature rise, preventing the insulation degradation common in overheated "compact" units.
Protection & Switching: VFI Integration
Protecting a 3.75 MVA asset requires more than simple fuses. Fuses at this amperage are massive, expensive, and slow to replace.
- VFI (Vacuum Fault Interrupter): We recommend integrating a VFI Breaker inside the tank.
- The Benefit: This provides resettable electronic protection. If a fault occurs, there are no fuses to replace. The system trips like a circuit breaker, and protection curves (TCC) can be programmed electronically to coordinate perfectly with downstream switchgear, ensuring precise selective coordination.
